DELLORTO, partner of the Awards for this edition and for the next two years, was among the protagonists of the main event on Saturday evening and the FIM AWARDS side events held throughout the weekend.
Beginning on the evening of Friday 6 December, during the “FIM AWARDS WARM UP PARTY” event, Davide Dell’Orto (Chief Technical Officer) and Head of Strategic Developments for DELLORTO Group presented an award to rider Brad Freeman (World Champion Enduro – E3 class). On the morning of 7 December, on the occasion of the “FIM CHAMPION’S KART CHALLENGE” at the CIRCUIT MALLORCA LLUCMAJOR, Davide Dell’Orto awarded Gregg Black (World Champion Endurance) and Luca Dell’Orto, Managing Director of Dell’Orto S.p.A, awarded David Alonso (World Champion MotoGP – moto3 class).
The FIM AWARDS 2024 main event ceremony on the evening of 7 December, which also marked the 120th anniversary of the (FIM), saw Luca Dell’Orto on stage at the Palma Convention Centre to present the FIM Trophy for the Future to Carla Molenaar, founder and organizer of the Molenaar NSF100 Cup.
DELLORTO, which, as mentioned, will be Partner of the Awards for the next two editions, aims with this important collaboration to promote its technological excellence and innate commitment to motorsport worldwide, which translates in particular into its activities as Sole Supplier of the electronic control unit in the Moto3 category and Championship partner for the MotoE category data acquisition system.
“For us, – explains Luca Dell’Orto, Managing Director of Dell’Orto S.p.A, – to have been able to actively participate in the FIM AWARDS ceremony, moreover awarding a category that enhances and looks to new motorcycling talents was not only a pleasure and an honor, but also very important. It was a sign of how this world, the world of motorsport that is fundamental for us, has been crossing generations for a long time and still finds new life in the passion for engines of many young people as well. An indispensable stimulus for us, for over 90 years, to create quality products that also intercept the needs of so many two-wheel enthusiasts. The setting and the reception of the FIM AWARDS was wonderful, as was the entire organization, which we thank and which DELLORTO | am sure will find again in the next edition in 2025”.
“The presence of DELLORTO on the prestigious stage of the FIM Awards 2024,” commented Andrea Dell’Orto, Vice President of Dell’Orto S.P.A., “exemplifies what is somewhat our commitment to the world of motorsport and also the importance we as a manufacturing company give to partnerships. In fact, a 2024 that has seen DELLORTO significantly increase the profile of its partnerships, triggering synergies with the most important players in the motorbike, automotive and component sectors, will soon come to an end. Looking at the challenges of the future, we believe it is unthinkable to win them if we do not bring together skills, knowledge and strengths. Starting from this, which is a bit our vision and our way of being, I therefore accepted with great enthusiasm, months ago, the invitation of the FIM President, Jorge Viegas, whom I thank, to be part of this authoritative project that is the FIM AWARDS. An event that deservedly rewards the protagonists of the motorcycling world and that unites us on so many crucial issues in motorsport and beyond. An important partnership for DELLORTO and one that will proudly see us as protagonists also for the next two editions of the Awards”.
Davide Dell’ Orto (Chief Technical Officer) and Head of Strategic Developments for the Dellorto Group, underlined: “The FIM AWARDS were an important and evocative opportunity to celebrate the world of motorsport that is so important for a company like DELLORTO. Let us not forget that it is precisely on the racetracks and in the world of competition that many of the innovations are not only developed but often born, contributing technological know-how that then translates and brings value to what will be tomorrow’s series production. It is therefore a good idea to valorize and, as on the occasion of the FIM AWARDS, to reward those who, with dedication, bring forward this movement made up of riders, technicians, sector realities and, above all, many fans.”
