EICMA 2024

DN4 DELLORTO at EICMA 2024. Evolution of Emotions

At the 110th edition of EICMA, DELLORTO is emphasizing its DN4. The focus is on four key aspects that define its strong Italian identity, which continues to evoke emotions. More importantly, it seeks to share these emotions with its world—a universe made up of passionate motor enthusiasts, friends, and brand partners, as well as all the visitors that will liven up the stand during the event.
An ideal journey through iconic Made in Cabiate products, the most innovative items of today, and the technologies of the near future. EICMA 2024 will be the occasion to witness yet another evolution of the products that have made history and shaped the brand. At 10:20 AM on Wednesday, November 6th, during the DELLORTO press conference, there will be an unveiling and presentation of a new carburetor named after its creator, Eng. Giuseppe Dell’Orto, the company’s president: PHDG.
The stand will feature vehicles equipped with DELLORTO products, as well as those from riders, friends, and brand partners. Among them will be the MotoGP bike from Team APRILIA, Andrea Iannone’s WSBK from Team Go Eleven, and the Moto3 SIC58 Squadra Corse, for which DELLORTO is the exclusive ECU supplier for the entire lightweight world championship class. A MotoE bike will also be present, representing the championship where DELLORTO is a partner for the data acquisition system. Not just track bikes, but also road models such as the stunning Ducati Scrambler Nightshift, a manufacturer that DELLORTO became an official supplier for in 2024. The display will also include an iconic Vespa racing model and the FANTIC ISSIMO CITY L1 electric scooter.
DELLORTO’s stand will be divided into 4 main areas: Motorsport, Injection, Electric, and Aftermarket. Additionally, a new space has been designed exclusively for the many loyal friends and visitors of the brand: DELLORTO 4FUN!
These elements intertwine to create the double helix of the DELLORTO DN4, which runs along the walls of the stand for visitors to explore at EICMA 2024. It’s a world of passion for motors in continuous evolution.

EICMA will also be a heartfelt moment for us to remember the recently deceased rider, Luca Salvadori, who was not just a testimonial but a true member of the DELLORTO family.

THE EMOTION “COMES IN 4”
Also at EICMA 2024, sports journalist and Brand Ambassador Matteo Bobbi will guide the audience and industry professionals with his extensive experience through events and deep dives into the discovery of DELLORTO’s products and identity. Over 200 square meters and a dedicated stage will host a variety of guests throughout the days of the event, including institutional figures, sports stars, motorsport personalities, and entertainers. Among them will be Tony Cairoli, Sofia Goggia, Andrea Iannone, Flavia Pennetta, Marco Bocci, and many more.
The public days will feature the traditional meet & greets, DJ sets by Giada Brince, gadget shows, and entertainment at the DELLORTO 4FUN! area, a new space created by DELLORTO—in collaboration with Motorola—to generate and share emotions.
A snapshot of an emotion to be preserved, shared, and spread on social media with the hashtags #DELLORTO, #DELLORTO4FUN!, #motorola, #hellomoto.

DELLORTO 4 TOMORROW’S MOBILITY
At EICMA 2024, DELLORTO will showcase its history and passion for motorsports, presented through four thematic areas: Motorsport, Injection, Electric, and Aftermarket. Carburettors, throttle bodies, electronic control units, fuel pumps, and a wide range of products linked to the E-POWER project.

1. MOTORSPORT
For DELLORTO, Motorsport is the ultimate testing ground for developing innovative and sustainable solutions. From the throttle bodies of the Aprilia MotoGP to those used in the Porsche GT3 Supercup, from Kart carburettors to the ECU for Moto3, DELLORTO continually supports the development and adoption of renewable fuel-based solutions. In parallel, it remains a key partner in the MotoE championship, which represents the pinnacle of electric propulsion in motorcycling. This simultaneous commitment to both combustion and electric motors reflects the company’s strategy of providing new solutions for electromobility, while also strengthening its position in the combustion engine sector.

2. INJECTION
DELLORTO supports the evolution of combustion engines towards zero environmental impact, while maintaining the soul and character that excite all motorcyclists. The new ride-by-wire system finally makes solutions available, even for small and medium-sized single and two-cylinder motorbikes, that were previously reserved for high-end multi-cylinder motorbikes. In 2025, the current ride-by-cable system will also be updated with the introduction of riding modes, alongside the debut of a Lite version designed for simpler and more affordable applications. The development of throttle bodies continues with unique solutions like innovative bypass systems or oval throttles with aerodynamic shafts. These are just a few examples of innovations that combine smooth operation with quick response and low emissions with high performance, ensuring success not just on the track but also on the road. DELLORTO’s fuel supply modules are future-proof, capable of handling fuels with up to 30% ethanol, and are used in a wide range of applications, from small scooters to large motorcycles. Another key aspect is the gradual phase-out of fossil fuels. In 2024, the DoPOWER 1.0 ECU for Moto3 managed engines running on 40% defossilized fuels, and starting in 2025, DELLORTO injection systems will be mass-produced for fuels containing up to 20% renewable sources—a first but crucial step towards the mobility of the future.

3. ELECTRIC
DELLORTO is expanding its range of solutions for electric mobility, covering a power and range spectrum that meets all urban mobility needs, from scooters to lightweight transport vehicles, including three- and four-wheeled vehicles.
The three strengths of DELLORTO’s electric offerings are low voltage (below 60V), air cooling, and a modular, scalable architecture that facilitates vehicle integration.
The VID product family (VCU-Inverter-DC/DC) integrates vehicle control, electric motor management, and a 12V onboard network converter into a single device.
Removable batteries can be conveniently charged from a regular household socket, thanks to chargers available in two power sizes to meet every need.
With the sophisticated Battery Management System (BMS), up to 8 batteries can be used in parallel in a coordinated manner, providing greater autonomy or power for vehicles that require it.
These solutions developed for urban mobility have also found applications in adjacent sectors where DELLORTO has applied an automotive approach: Industrial, Agriculture, Logistics, and Energy storage.
Thanks to the experience gained in the development of lithium batteries for traction, DELLORTO now offers 12V lithium starter batteries that are lightweight, compact, and equipped with BMS that communicates with the vehicle.
DELLORTO believes that in the future, the majority of engines will feature some form of electrification, and the ongoing developments lay the foundation for acquiring the necessary know-how to meet the challenges of sustainable mobility.

4. AFTERMARKET
DELLORTO continues to invest heavily in its core business of carburettors, as well as in established brands like Bosch, Eni, and TRW, which have been key partners for years.
The stand will feature two families of carburettors, PHBG and VHST, which have made history and continue to do so, from mopeds to more specialized motorcycles like trial, enduro, and racing bikes. A third display will feature a selection of racing carburettors, including those used in the past 250cc class and the VHTC 42 aluminum carburettor, which is also fitted on competition Vespa models, one of which will be on display at the booth.

DELLORTO IN 2024. SYNERGIES IN EVOLUTION
2024 is a significant year for DELLORTO, as collaborations continue to grow, creating synergies with some of the most important players in the motorcycle, automotive, and component sectors.

  • 2024 marks DELLORTO’s entry into the ranks of Official Ducati Suppliers, a program that includes a select group of companies working closely with the Borgo Panigale manufacturer to develop its models. This further solidifies the relationship with Ducati, for which DELLORTO has been supplying the data acquisition system for MotoE since 2023, as well as throttle bodies and fuel modules for some series models over the past few years.
  • DELLORTO arrives at EICMA 2024 with the strength of its partnership with Dumarey Flowmotion Technologies Srl. The agreement, aimed at providing the best technology for motorcycle and recreational injection systems, supports manufacturers worldwide, even in the development of engines for non-fossil fuels. A totem showcasing some Dumarey products will be present at the DELLORTO stand, demonstrating the potential and performance available to manufacturers.
  • DELLORTO and THE FIM AWARDS. For the next three years, DELLORTO will be a partner in the celebration of World Champions across all disciplines under the FIM’s aegis. This collaboration is aimed at globally promoting the company’s technological excellence and commitment to motorsports, as the exclusive supplier of the Moto3 electronic control unit and partner in the MotoE championship for the data acquisition system.

«The idea behind this year’s EICMA is essentially tied to who we are and what we do. Even when considering the challenges of the future, it is unimaginable to succeed without combining the skills, knowledge, and strengths we have developed over more than 90 years of activity.
For us, the DN4 DELLORTO, represented at the fair by all our products, the vehicles they equip, and the emotions they bring to our many supporters and brand friends, is a process made possible by both past and present technologies and the invaluable know-how derived from our global team and the valuable partnerships we’ve built over time.
All of these are essential ingredients in creating the products of tomorrow, united by the red thread of passion for motors and the quality of a product that is international but proudly Made in Italy. These emotions have been carried by our family-run brand for three generations and are now being directed towards a future that is as challenging as it is fascinating.
This heritage, along four key pillars—Motorsport, Injection, Electric, and Aftermarket—will be on display for the general public at EICMA 2024. A public that is, in turn, an integral part of our DN4. To those enthusiasts and others who will join us, we promise both emotions and a starring role in the new DELLORTO4FUN! space.»
