Starting with carburators for motorbikes, it then expanded its product range by designing and manufacturing throttle bodies, injection systems and electronic control units, up to innovative electrification projects.

DELLORTO, over the years, has in fact invested in research and has been able to be among the first to intercept and lead market demands.
The medium-term strategy for electric propulsion was defined in 2018, and as early as mid-2019 the E-POWER team was born, working tirelessly to develop the product range that is now available on the market. E-POWER equips a number of different vehicles, and, to name a few, displayed at the booth: the Fantic scooter, the Casalini quadricycle, the Platum scooter and the Mondial electric motorbike linked to the CEMP project.

At EICMA, the innovation “Made in Brianza” proudly presents the E-POWER project.

With the E-POWER project, DELLORTO offers the market a complete range of ELECTRIC POWERTRAINS designed for the light urban electric mobility of the future: from 250W for the scooter up to 15kW for the heavy quadricycle.
The project is designed to be highly integrated, modular, scalable and flexible at low voltage (<60V) and air-cooled to allow highly integrable solutions with various vehicle layouts and at competitive costs.

In addition to urban mobility, DELLORTO wants to pursue a transversality across industrial and leisure sectors where electrified solutions are already in place but are based on obsolete technology.

The aim is therefore to bring automotive logic into industrial sectors, such as small construction machinery, agricultural machinery, intra-logistics machinery, but also field such as marine industry, go-karts and golf karts.

DELLORTO’s E-POWER system includes 3 sizes of inverters, all integrated with Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) and DC/DC functions, two sizes of batteries of 2kWh and 2.3kWh equipped with latest-generation 21700 NMC cells, capable of guaranteeing high energy density and the possibility of swap thanks to the weight (less than 12 kg).
The BMS integrated in the Battery Pack allows up to 8 batteries to be simultaneously managed without the need for master devices.
The motor range is designed with high torque density to allow a direct-drive architecture between the motor and the vehicle wheel, saving efficiency loss and gearbox costs.

With the E-POWER project, DELLORTO is not only offering a product, but also an all-round service. Together with its partner REINOVA, DELLORTO is able to follow customers through all phases of the design of the electrical application, from performance simulation for the choice of powertrain, to system definition, interface with vehicle components, up to the application, testing, calibration and homologation phase.

There is already a clear trend on the market for small everyday vehicles to move towards electric traction, especially the 50cc and 125cc internal combustion vehicles used for daily urban mobility.
The electrification of these vehicles does not encounter any of the typical automotive barriers (recharging time, need for high-power columns, range not compatible with use, recharging studs in homes….) and will therefore have a significant development encouraged also by the policy of many cities, not only in Italy.

The urban mobility of the future will have to move towards a new paradigm that will see small, light, safe and reliable vehicles driven by a low-power interconnected electric powertrain in our cities, thus requiring low battery power.

DELLORTO, always open to challenges, participates as lead partner in the CEMP project, developed within the framework of the Lombardy Region Call Hub and co-financed by the European Union. The research partnership formed by the lead partner DELLORTO with OCTO Telematics, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and Energica Motor Company started 3 years ago, with the aim of achieving the demonstrator vehicle displayed as a world preview at the DELLORTO booth at EICMA.

CEMP is an ‘intelligent’ electric propulsion project intended for light vehicles, aiming at energy, environmental and social sustainability. It comprises three interacting systems: the electric propulsion, the telematics unit and the driver assistance system, the so-called ARAS (Advanced Rider Assistance System). The synergy between electric propulsion, connectivity and driver assistance systems does not only avoid exhaust emissions, but also eases traffic congestion and prevents accidents.

The project targets L-category light vehicles: scooters, three-wheelers and microcars, vehicles that by their nature meet the demand for individual mobility and transport in urban centres. CEMP is a responsible innovation plan, because it combines the needs of environmental protection, health and safety of citizens with the achievement of positive industrial results.

Thanks to the agreement with the DELLORTO Group, an Italian brand present in the two-, three- and four-wheel sector, CASALINI is proud to present the new version of its 100% electric commercial vehicle at the upcoming International Bicycle and Motorcycle Show 2022 (EICMA).
For CASALINI, this will be the first and very important step towards the electrification of its range of vehicles, with the aim of continuing to offer its customers, high-end products with premium finishes and zero environmental impact.
On board the new eKerry it will be possible to experience the thrill of a smooth, totally silent and environmentally friendly drive, while retaining all the advantages of a commercial vehicle that can be driven from the age of 14.
Designed and built entirely in Italy, the new eKerry is the result of the combined efforts of CASALINI’s “research and development” programme and the constant support offered at every stage of development by DELLORTO engineers.
Easy to recharge at home or in the company, its autonomy of 120 km makes it free to choose whether to use it for transporting goods in the company or in a purely urban context, always enveloped in the almost total silence and comfort of an electric vehicle.

Electric Scooter

The KPF Argento electric scooter by Pininfarina is the result of a collaboration between Pininfarina and Platum, the urban e-mobility brand of MT Distribution, a Motor Valley company that is already a leader in last-mile e-mobility solutions. The KPF is the first in a family of products designed for urban mobility, including scooters, bicycles and folding bikes, all electric vehicles. The first bike of the range will be launched during 2022.

Pininfarina has been demonstrating an approach to sustainability and attention to ecology for years through extensive investments in innovation that have led to the creation of electric vehicles since 1978.

ERGONOMICS AND STYLE FOR MAXIMUM COMFORT

KPF is a concentrate of technology, ergonomics and innovation with high quality components that guarantee maximum user comfort. The dynamic and elegant design of the KPF has been created with particular attention to functionality and transportability as well as dynamism on the road in safety.

The KPF’s distinguishing features include an 83.5 cm platform that maximizes the fluctuations of the user’s body, hidden suspension, a range of 40 km. The aluminum-made chassis is specifically designed for the three different riding modes: eco – up to 6 km/h for use on pedestrian areas – normal, which reaches 20 km/h and sport whose maximum speed is 25 km/h. The 20” tires with air chamber dampen road unevenness, offering increased stability. The display includes the speedometer, battery level and distance travelled – total and single session – and LED headlights that become a distinctive feature of style and safety.

Pininfarina’s solid experience in the design of electric and smart mobility and Platum’s cutting-edge technical skills have led to the creation of a family of electric micro-mobility vehicles with a unique and innovative style, of which the KFP is the first result.

KPF is available in shiny silver color, with turquoise details on the footboard.

DELLORTO has always been involved in the world of sports competitions with high-performance technical supplies and since 2022 it has embraced the OHVALE project, through a technical collaboration aimed at the growth of talents all over the world.

In fact, OHVALE is the sole bike in the FIM MINIGP WORLD SERIES, the Dorna and FIM-sponsored initiative that aims to unify and standardize competitions for 10 to 14 years old in order to increase the skills and opportunities of young riders competing.

The partenership between DELLORTO and OHVALE involves the entire product range, starting from the OHVALE GP-0 110 4S which will be equipped with the DELLORTO PHBL 24 BS carburetor up to the OHVALE GP-0 160 and OHVALE GP-2 190 with the DELLORTO PHBH 28 BD carburetor, all with dedicated calibration and testing on DELLORTO benches.

All the carburetors used are specific for 4-stroke motorcycles, very reliable and particularly stable in different weather conditions. The collaboration extends technically in the DELLORTO Research & Development center, where we found the ideal carburetion through tests that provide the same methodology used for Moto3 and large displacement sport bike.

OHVALE project is an idea of Valerio Da Lio, industry expert with an experience of over forty years in the motorcycle world, who teamed with great men very well known in the motorcycle industry for their extraordinary abilities and high technical experience. Thanks to its characteristics of ergonomics, chassis and ease of riding, OHVALE motorcycle is a suitable as an educational and training tool for youngsters or less experienced riders, for people passionate in the 2-wheel sport, and more, OHVALE is perfectly able to give adrenaline and competitiveness of track riding to experienced riders. 4 versions available – 110 AUTOMATIC / 110 4 SPEED / 160 4 SPEED / 190 DAYTONA.
